Miscellaneous Volunteer Roles
Ongoing Reception Help at SBC:
- We are looking for volunteers to help at our front reception desk at the Shea campus periodically for lunch coverages, staff meetings, and vacations. Duties would include greeting visitors, answering and routing phone calls, and other administrative duties associated with the position. We will train you and set you up for success. Church membership is required for this volunteer role.
Care Teams:
- Visitation Team: Our Visitation Team volunteers reach out (by phone or in-person) and keep in loving contact with those who have extended stays in the hospital, or who are homebound due to a physical illness or limitation. They develop relationships with, encourage, and pray with them. Church membership is required for this volunteer role.
Creative Designer/Set Building:
- Creative Designer: Help create and design different displays throughout the year. Also need help building backdrops and sets. Volunteers are needed at various times throughout the year (all campuses).
Events:
- Special Events Volunteer: We host numerous special events throughout the year and are always in need of volunteers to assist with set-up, decorating, greeting, hosting, and clean-up (all campuses).
Finance Office:
- Finance Volunteer: Volunteers needed to help with data entry and scanning documents on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (Shea campus).
- Offering Counter: Assist with the weekly offering count every other Monday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 AM (Shea campus).
